SW?D continues to evolve and look at ways in which it can help support its ideologies. The year 2017 – 2018 sees numerous events being conducted and a new initiative with the event “Safar – A Journey with Artisanal Products”. This event, conducted on 14 December, celebrates the third anniversary of SW?D. It is the first initiative that represented an effort to provide a wider platform for producers of unique, artisanal products to display their products and connect with other such vendors as well. Besides this, Safar – A Journey with Rice (25 July) was also conducted

3 Khojs were organised. Two culinary trips; one to Mumbai (8 March to 11 March) and another to Madurai (22 October to 28 October). A Khoj to Kadalakai Parishe (26 August) was also organised

SW?D Forums included one with Chef Manjit Singh (7 July), one with Mr Nitin Chordia (21 July) and one with Mr Mohan Narayanan (28 July). 4 Daawats were conducted. Two with USAC, one on 31 August and another on 7 September. And a Daawat with WMU on 13 December as well as one with the University of IOWA (5 January). SW?D also put up a stall at the Chefs for Charity event organised by Food Lovers on 24 February
